This 10-minute Spanish video tells the story of four mothers who were HIV positive during their pregnancies, and made the decision about whether to take AZT to lower the risk of transmitting the virus to their babies. The mothers, who are African American, Hispanic, and white, speak frankly about their decisions. The narrative explains AZT briefly, but the video is mainly the women's stories in their own words. It is frank and open, and could be used in a classroom or community presentation to generate discussion.
