New England Literacy Resource Center/World Education PHONE (617) 482-9485 Free in New England; subscription $5 The Change Agent is a semi-annual newspaper which provides news, ideas, and teaching resources to adult education teachers who want to encourage civic participation. Issue 11 focuses on immigration. There are articles, stories, and poems written by ESOL students. Topics include the history of immigration, myths and facts about immigration, what it is like to straddle two cultures, and how to use folktales to discuss immigration. There are also some ideas for classroom activities, a list of legal rights for immigrants, and a glossary of immigrant terms.
