Oregon State University Extension Service is the off-campus educational arm of Oregon State University. It offers educational programs in agriculture, forestry, 4-H youth, marine resources, community development, and energy. It also has a large publications catalogue that includes practical information booklets, fact sheets, and videos for free or low cost. Most publications relate to agriculture, but there are also some very unique topics on a variety of practical life skills. Topics include family and home, basic finances, emergency preparedness, food preparation and nutrition, and community development. The publications are not necessarily written at a low reading level, but there is a section of Spanish publications.
