The NIH is a group of government institutes, each dedicated to a group of diseases, disorders, or body systems. Each institute conducts and supports research on its respective diseases or body systems, and also disseminates public health information about them. They produce a large number of health education booklets on a range of health topics and distribute them for free. Many of their publications are available in easy-to-read or Spanish versions. Most individual Institutes within the NIH have their own Websites, but you can also visit the main NIH Website. Their entire publications list can be accessed online and the text of any publication can be downloaded. You can also find a Spanish version of the Website.
