Lutheran Settlement House is a community education and empowerment center. Its programs include adult education, youth after school, meals for seniors, and bilingual domestic violence counseling. The adult education center has produced a number of adult literacy curricula which are available at low cost. Some of the curricula focus on health issues, and incorporate student writings about health.
