The Canadian Public Health Association has been involved in several projects relating to health and literacy. It now supports the National Literacy and Health Program (NLHP), a partnership of health associations working to raise awareness about the links between literacy and health. It also provides resources to help health professionals better serve people with low-literacy skills.
