My Life Story with Cancer

About the Author

   Today, I'm leading a healthy and productive life in Randolph, Massachusetts. By overcoming a deadly illness like cancer, I've been given the inspiration and confidence to work towards something I'd never received when I was younger, my high school diploma.

    Good friends and teachers at an adult education center called S.C.A.L.E. (Somerville Center for Adult Learning Experiences) urged me to continue my education.  I met the challenge and through hard work and my own confidence, within myself completed my diploma and graduated at the top of my class. After completion of my diploma, it opened a lot of doors for me. Presently, I'm Executive Officer at Scentura Creations which is a fragrance company. This opportunity will soon lead to owning my own business.  

    If words can describe Mary Walker, they would be confidence, a will to succeed and sheer faith.  I prove that any illness can be overcome and you can succeed and still live a full life and enjoy doing it.
